This is the first year of a two-year KS3 French course designed to build upon the foundation laid in KS2 French. The course aims to deepen students' understanding of French through engaging activities and structured grammar lessons. It prepares students to use French confidently in both written and spoken forms.

Present tense irregular verbs (avoir, être, aller, faire)

Homework:
Homework will be assigned regularly to consolidate the material covered in class. It is important for students to complete homework to reinforce their learning. Parents are encouraged to support their children in managing their homework time effectively.

Summary:
By the end of Year 1, students will have expanded their basic French vocabulary and grammar, developed their ability to engage in simple conversations, and gained confidence in reading and writing in French. This foundation will prepare them for Year 2 of the KS3 French course.
