This class is suitable for children aged 7+ who have some experience with the French language. It has an emphasis on speaking and learning through games.

It is ideal for younger learners who wish to continue with their French studies but who don’t yet feel ready for the more formal KS3. The games include noughts and crosses, lotto, pairs, guessing and memory games, treasure hunt games, dice talking, Jacques a dit (Simon says) as well as traditional board games such as snakes and ladders, battleships, connect 4, blockbusters and so on.

The topics covered will include stationery and school subjects, rooms and furniture in a home, shops and the foods and drinks they sell and revision of family and describing personality as well as physical description.

Optional weekly homework is set and encouraged for those wishing to progress to KS3.
