Course Objective:
This is a comprehensive one-year course designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the nature of business. It follows the Edexcel GCSE Business Studies specification and is ideal for students who are considering A Level Business Studies or those interested in starting their own business in the future. The course will:
Focus on the nature of business and its core principles.
Offer a broad and deep study of business concepts to advance GCSE knowledge.
Prepare students for further studies in Business or entrepreneurial ventures.
Course Content:
Nature of Business: Understanding key business concepts, terminology, and objectives.
Business Environment: Impact of businesses on society, including economic, social, and environmental factors.
Business Operations: Basic operations management, production processes, and quality control.
Marketing and Finance: Principles of marketing, market research, and financial planning.
Human Resources: Roles and responsibilities within a business, recruitment, and employee management.
Required Materials:
Access to a computer or tablet for online lessons and homework submissions
Pen and paper for notes and calculations
Study Expectations:
Homework: Assigned at the end of every topic to reinforce learning.
Self-directed Study: Students should allocate time for homework and review outside of class.
Total Course Cost: £522 {29 one and half hour lessons at £18 each}

This class is covered by a regular payment every month.
Subscription: A one off admin fee of £30 per family will be added to your first payment of each academic year.
Payments begin on 1st September 2025 for 8 months.* **
Payments are made on 1st of each month.
*Courses of 12 weeks are paid over 2 months.
** A Level 2 year courses are paid over 12 consecutive months.
