This is a one-year course designed to prepare students for the AQA Further Mathematics GCSE qualification for exmination in summer 2026. It is intended for students who have already achieved or are targeting at least a Level 7 in their (i)GCSE Mathematics.
This qualification provides an opportunity to obtain an additional GCSE in Mathematics and serves as excellent preparation for those intending to study A-Level Mathematics.

This course has been designed to avoid going through a single textbook in a linear fashion. Therefore, purchasing a textbook is not deemed necessary.

Resources Students Will Need:

Pen, pencil and notepad
Maths set
Calculator
Printer
Ideally, a touch screen device with a screen size of 10 inches or larger. This allows students to more easily participate in Zoom classes using the annotate function when necessary.

Teaching and Learning:

Classes will be interactive and focus on practical exercises and problem-solving.

Homework:

Homework is an important part of preparing students for the exam. The expectation is for parents to timetable two additional 45-minute slots each week. One slot should be dedicated to completing the homework set, and the other for general Maths revision of previously covered topics.
Video tutorials and worksheets for topic understanding will be set.

Exam Board and Examination:

The AQA Further Mathematics qualification comprises two exams: one in which a calculator is permitted and one non-calculator paper.
