This comprehensive two-year course is designed to prepare students for the OCR Latin GCSE examinations in 2027, following the J282F syllabus. While prior experience is beneficial, the course is accessible to beginners. Students will develop a deep understanding of Latin vocabulary, accidence and syntax, and explore Roman values and society through the study of classical literature.

Language Paper
Written exam testing knowledge of vocabulary and grammar through translation and comprehension passages (J282/01 – 1hr30 written paper, worth 50 % of total GCSE)

Prose Literature exam (J282/03 – 1hr written paper, worth 25% of total GCSE)
Verse Literature exam (J282/05 – 1hr written paper, worth 25% of total GCSE)
