Join our structured and engaging two-year A-Level Physics course, tailored specifically for home educated students. Following the Edexcel specification, this course is designed to build a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of physics, while developing the analytical and problem-solving skills that are essential for success at A-level and beyond.
Course Features:
Two one-hour live lessons per week
Clear and structured delivery of all theory content across Year 1 and Year 2 of the Edexcel Physics specification.
Interactive sessions with recap, consolidation, and guidance on exam technique.
Course Content:
A fully endorsed coursebook will be advised for purchase at the commencement of the course.
Year 1 (AS Level):
Working as a Physicist
Mechanics: motion, forces, energy, momentum
Electric Circuits
Materials: properties, stress-strain, and applications
Waves: wave behaviour, refraction, superposition, lenses, and the particle nature of light
Year 2 (A2 Level):
Further Mechanics: circular motion and SHM
Electric and Magnetic Fields: including capacitors and electromagnetic induction
Nuclear and Particle Physics
Thermodynamics
Space and Gravitational Fields
Nuclear Radiation
Oscillations
Examination:
The assessment consistes of three written examinations and a compulsory practical endorsement which does not contribute to the overall grade but will appear on students' certificates.
9PH0/01: 1 hr 45 mins Advanced Physics I
9PH0/02: 1 hr 45 mins Advanced Physics II
9PH0/03: 2hrs 30mins General and Practical Principles in Physics
Please note:
This course does not include the practical endorsement component. Students will need to make separate arrangements with an approved centre to complete the practicals if they wish to receive the “Science Practical Endorsement” alongside their A-level.
Enrolment:
For NEW A Level students there is a 3 part enrolment process.
1. Book here for all classes for the full 2-year A Level Physicss course.
2. An admin fee of £30 per family per academic year will be added to your first subscription payment.
3. You will be emailed an enrolment form to complete and return to directors@heet.org.uk
Additionally, the admin fee for 2026/27 will be due on 1st September 2026. An additional 2-3 weeks of teaching, chargable at the same rate, will be added to the end of the final year when the exam dates are confirmed.

This class is covered by a regular payment every month.

Payments are made on 1st of each month.
*Courses of 8 or 12 weeks are paid over 2 or 3 months respectively.
** A Level 2 year courses are paid over 12 consecutive months.
