Join us in our exciting NEW Drama Club!
This engaging one-year course introduces students to the world of Drama and performance. It develops core skills in acting, design, and devising while encouraging creativity, confidence, and collaboration. Students will explore professional theatre practices, work with play texts, and even run their own theatre company project.
The course emphasises active, hands-on learning through workshops, rehearsals, and performances. Students will gain experience both on stage and behind the scenes, building transferable skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Course Structure:
Storytelling:
Retelling familiar stories with new interpretations through movement, music, and creative adaptations.
Play Text Study:
Understanding dramatic terminology, analysing play extracts, and staging scenes.
Theatre Practitioner Study (Kneehigh):
Learning about Kneehigh Theatre, their creative style, and applying practitioner techniques to performance.
Devising Theatre:
Working from a stimulus to create original drama through group collaboration.
Design Skills:
Exploring costume, set, sound, puppetry, and choreography to enhance performance.
Theatre Company Project:
Creating and running a theatre company, taking on different roles, and producing a small-scale performance.

Independent Study:
Approximately 1–2 hours of rehearsal, script work, or design development per week

This class is covered by a regular payment every month.
Subscription: An admin fee of £30 per family will be added to your first payment of each academic year.
