This is the second year of a 2 year course following the Pearson Edexcel iGCSE syllabus.
This course aims to prepare your child for the iGCSE Physics paper offered by the Edexcel exam board. The course content will be completed over a two-year period so as to sit the exam in summer 2027, this booking is for the second year.
In the course we will cover:

- Waves
- Energy resources and energy transfer
- Solids, Liquids and Gases
- Magnetism and electromagnetism
- Radioactivity and particles
- Astrophysics

This course utilises the iGCSE Physics complete revision and practice book as its main guide however other ancillary resources are also used to enrich the student experience. Purchasing this textbook is necessary for this course.

Ideally a touch screen device with a screen size of 10 inches or larger. This allows students to more easily participate in zoom classes using the annotate function when necessary.
Homework will be set and is an important part of the preparation process for getting students exam ready. The expectation will be for parents to timetable two further 45-minute timeslots in the week for their children. One slot should be used to do the homework set and the other slot for general Physics revision of other topics previously covered.
Exam board:
The iGCSE Physics exam by Edexcel is a well-designed specification that fairly assesses a student’s aptitude. The exam comprises of two exams. A calculator is permitted in both examinations. This booking does not include registration and sitting of the examination.
