Explore Greek Mythology, heroes and the gods and goddesses, with some light introduction to classical Greek.
This course is designed to give students a light and engaging introduction to the Ancient Greek language and mythology. It introduces simple Ancient Greek words and phrases while exploring famous myths, gods, heroes, and legendary adventures from the ancient Greek world. By encouraging curiosity about language, storytelling and classical civilisation, the course aims to inspire students with the lasting influence of Ancient Greece on literature, art, and modern culture, while providing a foundation for further study.
Course Content:
- Introduction to Ancient Greek:
Basic Ancient Greek vocabulary, alphabet awareness, and simple language patterns.
- Greek Mythology:
Listening to and exploring well-known myths, including stories of the gods, goddesses, heroes, and monsters of ancient Greece.
- Ancient Greek Culture:
Introduction to everyday life, beliefs, and customs in ancient Greece.
- Classical Influence:
Exploration of how Ancient Greek language, myths, and ideas continue to influence the modern world.

This class is covered by a regular payment every month.
Subscription: An admin fee of £30 per family will be added to your first payment of each academic year.
